Position Overview
The Senior Maintenance Engineer plays a key role within a project engineering environment, supporting the development and implementation of maintenance strategies for major Oil & Gas projects.
The position involves close interaction with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure asset reliability, safety, and optimal plant availability throughout the project lifecycle.

Senior Maintenance Engineer – Oil & Gas
Position Overview
The Senior Maintenance Engineer plays a key role within a project engineering environment, supporting the development and implementation of maintenance strategies for major Oil & Gas projects.
The position involves close interaction with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure asset reliability, safety, and optimal plant availability throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Project Manager and working autonomously within a multidisciplinary team, the Senior Maintenance Engineer is responsible for, but not limited to, the following activities:
- Review and analysis of EPSCC technical documentation, including CMMS data, P&IDs, PFDs, maintenance plans, and spare parts lists.
- Support the engineering team in the development and structuring of the Functional Location hierarchy.
- Define and develop the maintenance philosophy, maintenance plans, and scheduling in close coordination with Operations & Maintenance teams, in line with international standards and quality requirements.
- Prepare and deliver key maintenance deliverables, such as:
- Preventive Maintenance Plans and Programs
- On‑Condition Monitoring Plans
- Operation & Maintenance Manuals (O&M)
- Lubrication Plans
- Develop maintenance procedures in compliance with technical specifications, safety requirements, and best practices, with a strong focus on maximizing plant uptime and reliability.
- Collect, review, and validate spare parts data provided by equipment suppliers.
- Prepare and issue spare parts recommendations in support of long-term asset operation.
- Implement, update, and maintain the Client CMMS.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to maintenance strategy, reliability, and lifecycle asset management.
- Engineering degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or Maintenance Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in maintenance engineering and coordination within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Proven experience in EPC / EPIC project environments.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance standards, reliability principles, and asset management methodologies.
- Proficient in MS Office tools.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Valid BOSIET (OPITO certified).
- Valid offshore medical certificate (MFC) required at project start.
- Strong ability to work independently and within multicultural, multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- High level of commitment to HSE and quality standards.
- Willingness to travel for project-related missions when required.
- Based in France (Puteaux or Montigny‑le‑Bretonneux), with potential missions as required by the project.
- Contract duration: 12 months, starting July 2025 (subject to project requirements).
