As a Senior Mechanical Equipment Engineer focused on rotating equipment within Brownfield projects, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-impact projects that align with strategic objectives while shaping the future of energy infrastructure.
In this role, you will lead the design, procurement, and manufacturing oversight of critical mechanical packages, ensuring all work complies with international codes and company standards. Your expertise will guide the optimization of engineering solutions, coordination with vendors and subcontractors, and seamless management of system interfaces, all while mentoring and leading junior engineers or taking on discipline lead responsibilities.
Required Skills:
- Proven expertise in mechanical engineering design with a focus on rotating equipment for Brownfield projects
- Strong knowledge of engineering design and calculation tools
- Proficient in system engineering principles, inspection, testing, commissioning, and monitoring processes
- Proven ability to select and apply appropriate engineering methods and procedures, ensuring compliance with international codes, company, and industry standards
- Experience coordinating with vendors, subcontractors, and third parties effectively
- Demonstrated skills in package engineering, including design, procurement, and manufacture of mechanical packages
- Excellent planning and organizational skills to deliver projects within agreed budgets and timeframes
- Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers and potentially act as Discipline Lead
Skills:
- Familiarity with static equipment design (although the role prioritizes rotating equipment)
- Experience applying lessons learned and managing change impacts across complex project system boundaries
- Exposure to reliability, operability, and safety analysis within engineering projects
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Engineer Diploma or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience within the Oil & Gas industry, particularly in mechanical rotating equipment engineering on Brownfield sites
Other Requirements:
- Commitment of at least one year
- Willingness to collaborate and coordinate closely within multidisciplinary teams and third-party vendors
- Working up to 3 days in the office
