We are delighted to be partnering with a top tier gold mining company who are looking for a highly experienced Senior Mining Engineer, with considerable underground mining experience. This leadership role will play a critical role in this exciting multi-site gold project.

  • Competitive salary package with performance-based  Responsibilities In this role, you will be responsible for leading and optimising underground mining operations, including:
Role Responsibilities
  • Leading mine planning and development activities to deliver safe and efficient production outcomes
  • Monitoring performance against plan and budget, identifying and communicating key variances
  • Assessing and improving mining methods, processes, and equipment performance
  • Overseeing and approving drill and blast designs
  • Managing and modelling mine ventilation and dewatering systems
  • Providing technical leadership, mentoring and coaching to site Engineers
  • Ensuring development and infrastructure designs are practical, safe, and cost-effective
  • Maintaining accurate and structured mine planning documentation and data systems
  • Conducting regular field leadership and safety interactions
  • Supporting continuous improvement and project initiatives as directed by the Underground Leadership team
 About You To be successful in this role, you will bring:
  • A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering
  • Demonstrated experience within an underground hard rock mining environment
  • Strong understanding of mine planning, drill & blast, and operational execution
  • Proficiency in Deswik and advanced Microsoft Excel
  • A current WA Class C manual driver’s licence
  • A WA First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency (highly regarded, not essential)
