Job Title: Senior P&A Supervisor (Days)
Rotational: 28x28 rotation
Scope of Work
The Snr P&A Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing well intervention and P&A operations at the field level to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution. This role involves supervising contractors and service companies, ensuring compliance with all safety and operational standards, and maintaining high-quality service delivery
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate vendors equipment onshore / MODU to ensure readiness for TS2 QAQC.
  • Coordinate all seafastening activities and rig readiness preparations.
  • Coordinate rig readiness to drill process on MODU through audits / verification supported by ABL 3rd party inspection company to assure that the HSE and Operational issues of the equipment units have been assessed and are managed as per Rig Intake Process.
  • Coordinate with onshore engineering team to generate written work instructions based on the operations programme.
  • Exercises offshore technical control of all specialists well contractors and the responsibility for the coordination of other Supervisors, HSEQ and Wellsite Engineers.
  • Supervise day-to-day P&A operations ensuring are executed as per Written Work Instructions (WWIs)
  • Ensure all activities are carried out in compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) policies and industry regulations. Act as Senior representative for offshore.
  • Ensuring all well related operations comply with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements (including well / location specific consents and approvals).
  • Ensuring inductions and pre-job planning meetings are conducted to support the programme, ensuring that health, safety and environmental risks are identified and mitigated.
  • Maintain sufficient personal supervisory presence out on deck – witness/supervise specialist or critical operations.
  • Formally capture significant Management of Change (MoC) situations are correctly identified, reported and are properly risk assessed. Ensure appropriate risk assessment, impact of change and mitigation plans in place.
  • Providing functional guidance and support to the Dolphin OIM and Rig Superintendent on well operations and well control.
  • Reporting on safety / environmental performance and progress of operational activities to the P&A Superintendent and recommend plans to meet pre-determined objectives and mitigate any unexpected well conditions.
  • Monitor job progress, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely execution within budget and scope.
  • Manage third-party service providers and ensure service quality, performance, and safety compliance.
  • Maintain accurate well files, daily reports, and job logs.
  • Ensure proper handover and coordination between shifts and across departments.
  • Participate in incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate simultaneous operations.
  • Verify that drilling rigs and equipment are fit for purpose, and crews competent (through observation, audit, inspection etc)
  • Ensure the safety and accuracy of rig moves and positioning
  • Lead by example to intervene, set standards, give feedback, and coach, and develop these behaviours in subordinate supervisors.
  • Provide feedback to Drilling Superintendent/Onshore Engineering team on service company performance.
  • Produce a documented handover for their back-to-back and copy it to the Drilling Superintendent/Onshore Engineering Team.
  • Ensure that the well programme is carried out in a safe and cost-effective manner.
  • Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure quality, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Prepare operational reports and provide updates to senior management.
  • Investigate incidents or operational issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage equipment utilization, maintenance planning, and operational readiness.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reliability

Qualifications
Required:
  • Valid Subsea Supervisor IWCF Well Control (Level 4)
  • Valid Offshore Survival BOSIET (including CA-EBS)
  • Valid Medical certification (medical fitness to work specific for job)

Experience and knowledge:
Required:
  • Demonstrable equivalent experience in offshore supervisory position on a Semi Submersible.
  • Experience with Subsea workover / P&A operations e.g. OWIRS, SFT, IWOCS, etc
  • Minimum of 30 years industry experience
  • Minimum 15 years in Offshore Semi Subs Supervisory position
  • Previous well abandonment experience essential.
  • Can demonstrate highly developed problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Openwells, Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Outlook.
  • Excellent written and oral command of the English language.
Preferred:
  • Familiar with Well Delivery Processes and relevant policies and procedures.
