The Senior Planning Engineer acts as a subject matter expert in project planning and controls, primarily focused on the offshore construction segment. This role is responsible for advanced schedule development, integration, and progress control, ensuring all planning and control reports are accurate and effective. The position coordinates multiple teams and drives project performance improvement through in-depth schedule analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Schedule System Development & Integration
- Lead the development, revision, integration, and maintenance of Level 3 and Level 4 project schedules using Primavera P6 software.
- Review and approve subcontractor-submitted Level 4 and Level 5 detailed schedules, progress measurement worksheets, and weekly reports, ensuring alignment with the master schedule.
- Systematically interface and integrate subcontractors' detailed schedules with the project master schedule.
- Continuously monitor site construction progress, identifying schedule deviations, risks, and critical influencing factors through data collection and analysis.
- Perform periodic schedule updates and generate detailed progress analysis reports, including "Planned vs. Actual" progress comparisons.
- Conduct root cause analysis for delayed activities and document the reasons for impacts within the P6 system.
- Prepare the planning and controls sections of the Daily Site Report, Weekly Progress Report, and Monthly Progress Report.
- Develop presentation materials required for project weekly meetings, monthly meetings, controls weekly meetings, and progress clarification meetings.
- Chair or participate in the meetings and be responsible for recording and distributing meeting minutes.
- Work closely with site engineers and subcontractor planning engineers to coordinate and resolve site issues affecting progress.
- Participate in developing and tracking the implementation of acceleration measures to bring the project back on track.
- Support the Commercial/Contracts department by reviewing progress support documents for subcontractor payment applications and assisting with client invoicing.
- Develop Terms of Reference and Final Reports for workshops related to the Controls department.
- Consolidate various reports and deliverables required from the Controls department.
- Supervise and trace subcontractors to submit required planning and control reports on time and to the required standard.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Management, Marine Engineering, or a related field. Preference for internationally recognized certifications in management or engineering.
- 10+ years of project management experience, must include experience in oil and marine engineering projects, with a background as a Planning Engineer or Senior Planning Engineer.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; skilled in using Gantt charts, flowcharts, and other planning tools.
- Past experience with Middle East Offshore/FPSO projects would be highly preferable.
