NES Fircroft is currently recruiting a Senior Procurement Engineer for a leading engineering and energy industry client in Singapore.
The Senior Procurement Engineer will be responsible for managing procurement activities for assigned project packages, ensuring materials and equipment are sourced in accordance with project schedules, technical requirements, quality standards, and budget objectives. This role will work closely with engineering, project management, QA/QC, and suppliers to support successful project delivery.

The Senior Procurement Engineer will be responsible for managing procurement activities for assigned project packages, ensuring materials and equipment are sourced in accordance with project schedules, technical requirements, quality standards, and budget objectives. This role will work closely with engineering, project management, QA/QC, and suppliers to support successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute procurement strategies for assigned packages in alignment with project schedules, budgets, and delivery requirements.
- Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and manage the bid clarification process.
- Perform commercial and technical bid evaluations in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Negotiate commercial, contractual, and delivery terms with suppliers to achieve the best overall project value.
- Coordinate with Engineering, QA/QC, and Project teams to ensure compliance with project specifications and technical requirements.
- Manage the full procurement lifecycle, including sourcing, bid evaluation, purchase order issuance, expediting, inspection coordination, delivery, and documentation close-out.
- Monitor supplier performance and drive timely resolution of issues relating to quality, cost, and delivery.
- Support supplier qualification, pre-award evaluations, kick-off meetings, and post-award execution activities.
- Prepare procurement progress reports and provide regular updates on package status, risks, and mitigation plans.
- Ensure procurement activities are conducted in compliance with company policies, ethical standards, contractual obligations, and project requirements.
- Mentor and support junior procurement personnel while contributing to process improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of procurement experience within the Oil & Gas, Energy, Marine, EPC, or Heavy Industrial sectors.
- Proven experience managing procurement activities for engineered equipment, materials, and project packages.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, commercial negotiations, supplier management, and contract terms.
- Experience working closely with engineering and quality teams during project execution.
- Ability to manage multiple procurement packages within a fast-paced project environment.
- Strong analytical, commercial, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication capabilities.
