This Senior Project Controller plays a critical role in the planning, monitoring, measurement, and forecasting of engineering hours, costs, and project progress across design initiatives. This position ensures engineering activities remain aligned with approved budgets, schedules, and deliverables, while providing accurate and timely performance insights to both engineering leadership and project management teams.

This Senior Project Controller plays a critical role in the planning, monitoring, measurement, and forecasting of engineering hours, costs, and project progress across design initiatives. This position ensures engineering activities remain aligned with approved budgets, schedules, and deliverables, while providing accurate and timely performance insights to both engineering leadership and project management teams.
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement project controls plans and procedures to support project delivery
- Establish and maintain engineering hours and cost control frameworks, including baselines for effective project management and reporting
- Coordinate change management processes, including the identification and reporting of trends
- Support subconsultant reporting and contract administration activities
- Track and measure project progress, including earned value and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Maintain and report on project scope, schedule, progress, and costs in line with agreed reporting cycles
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Proven post-graduate experience in a project environment, with a solid understanding of cost control, planning, and engineering project controls
- Demonstrated experience delivering infrastructure projects, particularly within road and rail sectors
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across stakeholders
- Experience with project controls systems such as Primavera, ERP platforms, and Power BI, preferred
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, follow direction, and provide guidance to others while maintaining high-quality deliverables
