Position: Senior Project Engineer
Location: Maputo, Mozambique
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 12‑month renewable contract

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and deliver multiple capital projects from early studies through to execution and final handover
• Manage projects with CAPEX ranging from approximately USD 1M to 50M, involving local and international contractors
• Oversee the full project lifecycle including Pre‑FEED, FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover to operations
• Prepare statements of requirements and technical dossiers for call for tenders, and manage tendering activities in coordination with Contracts & Procurement teams
• Coordinate and manage study, engineering and execution teams to ensure safe, efficient and timely project delivery
• Act as the primary technical focal point for assigned projects, interfacing with construction, engineering, HSE, contracts, legal and cost control stakeholders
• Organise, lead and participate in technical and coordination meetings with contractors and site teams
• Review, validate and approve technical documentation and engineering deliverables
• Maintain and communicate project dashboards covering HSE, cost, schedule, progress and risk status
• Identify project risks and implement effective risk mitigation strategies throughout execution
• Manage technical and operational interfaces arising from the local environment, demonstrating flexibility in a changing project context
• Closely monitor construction activities in coordination with on‑site supervision teams and provide technical support as required
• Engage technical support from head office or corporate engineering functions when required and support formal project reviews in line with governance
• Prepare annual project budgets and support cost forecasting and consolidation activities
• Ensure compliance with management systems, governance requirements and corporate values
• Promote and demonstrate strong HSE leadership, ensuring HSE requirements are fully implemented within the scope of responsibility

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 10 years’ experience as a Project Engineer on major industrial, Oil & Gas and/or LNG projects
• Proven experience delivering projects across the full project execution lifecycle
• Strong experience managing multiple contractors and coordinating multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to manage several projects in parallel within a matrix organisation
• Delivery‑focused, pragmatic and solution‑oriented mindset
• Strong communication, coordination and reporting skills
• High awareness and commitment to HSE and Quality standards
• Experience working in international and multicultural project environments
