Senior Telecom Engineer

NES Fircroft is currently recruiting a Senior Telecom Engineer for an engineering project based in Singapore.

The role will support the delivery of telecommunications engineering solutions across multiple project phases, working closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution within scope, quality, and timeline requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager or Lead Engineer in the execution and delivery of projects
• Design telecommunications systems, including radio communication, security systems, navigation aids, and wired communication systems
• Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
• Develop detailed system designs, including diagrams and schematics
• Assist in the selection and specification of telecom equipment and materials
• Prepare material take-offs and equipment lists
• Provide input into engineering reports, functional specifications, and installation requirements
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure system integration and project alignment
• Participate in all engineering phases, including feasibility, concept, FEED, and detailed design
• Interpret technical requirements from clients and relevant authorities
• Support clarification of design certification with clients and third-party stakeholders
• Participate in technical meetings and client interactions as required

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• Relevant experience in telecommunications engineering within industries such as oil & gas, marine, petrochemical, or power generation
• Experience in leading or supporting engineering teams and delivering projects within defined schedules
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in written and spoken English
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Candidates must be willing and able to be based in Singapore

Technical Knowledge Candidates should have experience in at least one of the following areas:

• Radio Communication Systems: GMDSS, microwave radio, trunked radio, satellite communication, dispatch systems
• Security Systems: CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, PABX/VoIP systems
• Navigation Systems: radar, AIS, GPS/DGPS, ECDIS, navigation aids, VSAT systems
• Wired Communication Systems: PAGA, paging systems, talk-back systems, analogue telephony systems
