NES Fircroft are currently recruiting for a Document Controller for our client, who are a global, industry-leading power technology company, working on a major renewable energy project in Norfolk. 

Document Controller
Location: Necton, Norfolk
Duration: 12-month initial contract
Contract position

Responsible for managing the project contract deliverables by use of the document management tool, throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities 
Management of project deliverables using the associated systems, not limited to:
  • Allocating document numbers
  • Creating placeholders
  • Set up supplier packages
  • QA checks on deliverables
  • Manage review workflows in line with project timescales
  • Distribute workflow comments – Client – Suppliers - Internal
  • Hard copy submissions to site
  • Submission of As-builds
  • Interact with wider project team
  • Support Document Control team
  • Contribute to continuous improvements
  • Communications with external stakeholders
  • Be a team player

Technical Competence:
  • IT Systems (Microsoft Office, ACC, Aconex, EDMS, SharePoint)
  • Communication and reporting skills
Competence Requirements:

Mandatory: 
  • 2-year + document control project experience
  • 2-year document management systems experience
  • Quality Aware
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Be location based
Desirable 
  • Document / Configuration Control training
  • Good standard of education
Optional 
  • Engineering or Project Management Degree or equivalent.
