Further important tasks and duties:
•Receiving inspections of supplier deliveries:
•Package-wise receiving inspection of materials, including inspection of packaging upon receipt via site management.
•Review of storage category, checks for completeness of the delivered consignment.
•Plausibility check of the condition and quality of the delivered goods (e.g. visual inspection, dimensional checks of packages, corrosion).
•Orderly documentation of Siemens stores management in line with requirements (including return shipments).
•Routine inspections and maintenance (or coordination of maintenance) on the required components
•Act as contact person for site management, the project transport logistics manager, local representatives of the project shipping company, back office transport logistics staff, and the erection partners with regard to materials deliveries and forwarding.
•Act as contact person for erection partners in efforts to identify missing parts, over-supplying and hidden deficiencies, to document these non-conformances, and to properly arrange for return shipments in accordance with the pertinent ECC circular. •Checks of materials for condition and completeness based on the design information and shipping documents with the aid of Siemens IT tools, e.g. KANLOG and Site Material Tracker (SMT/ICMMS).
•Guarding the interests of Transport Logistics vis-à-vis onward-carriage forwarders and customs agents.
•Stores management as well as issuance and return-receipt at Siemens’ stores of Siemens-specific materials such as tools, instruments, and spare, replacement and wear parts.
•Coordination of local shipping operations.
•Performance of administrative tasks with the aid of SMT/ICMMS (e.g. assignment of access rights, and project structuring) including instructing erection partners in how to use SMT/ICMMS.
