Job Description
Senior QA/QC Inspector (Advanced NDT)
Job Purpose
  • Ensure products and processes meet specified standards using advanced NDT techniques.
  • Perform defect detection, characterization, and reporting to support safe project execution.
  • Review and validate advanced NDT methods and contractor inspection results.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and oversee advanced NDT (PAUT, TOFD, UT, RT, MT, PT).
  • Review NDT procedures, scan plans, calibration, and technique suitability.
  • Evaluate inspection data and verify compliance with ASME/API/project requirements.
  • Validate contractor inspection reports, images, and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure traceability of welds, inspections, and quality records.
  • Monitor fabrication/site activities to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Verify calibration blocks, equipment validity, and personnel certifications.
  • Identify and track non-conformances and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Provide technical recommendations and support QA/QC decisions.
  • Prepare daily inspection reports and coordinate with stakeholders.
  • Participate in quality audits, walkdowns, and surveillance activities.
Experience & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Metallurgy or equivalent.
  • NDT certificate in ASNT/PCN Level III for methods in UT, RT, PAUT and TOFD, as minimum.
  • NDT certificate in ASNT/PCN Level II for methods MT and PT, as minimum
  • CSWIP 3.1 certification and NDT Certificate in ECT, preferred  CSWIP 3.1 preferred.
  • 10+ years in oil & gas QA/QC/NDT inspection.
  • 4–6 years hands-on experience in advanced NDT interpretation (PAUT/TOFD).
Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of ASME (V, VIII, B31.3), API standards (1104, 5L).
  • Expertise in weld inspection, defect characterization, and NDT techniques.
  • Experience with corrosion mapping, tube inspection, and weld integrity.
  • Understanding of welding processes and inspection limitations.
