Job Title: Staff Electrical Engineer
Location: Hanover, Maryland, USA (Hybrid)
Duration: June 8, 2026 – December 4, 2026
Work Schedule: 8am–5pm or 9am–6pm EST | In-office Mon–Thu, Remote Fri
Pay Rate: $61.59 – $92.36/hour

Role Overview Seeking an experienced Staff Electrical Engineer to join the Aerospace & Defense Technologies team. This role focuses on the design, development, and testing of complex electrical and control systems for advanced underwater robotics and electromechanical solutions, primarily supporting U.S. Government and defense projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead electrical system design and development for complex engineering projects
  • Design, integrate, and troubleshoot power and control systems
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and team supervision
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, software, systems)
  • Participate in design reviews and ensure high-quality engineering outputs
  • Support hands-on build, integration, and testing activities
Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (or related field)
  • 10+ years of experience in electrical system design and development
  • Strong experience with complex electromechanical or robotic systems
  • Ability to obtain U.S. DoD Security Clearance and U.S. Citizenship required
Preferred
  • Experience with embedded systems, power systems, and communication protocols (Ethernet, CAN, SPI, etc.)
  • Proficiency in CAD and engineering tools (Altium, MATLAB, AutoCAD, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of electrical components, wiring, and system integration
  • Experience in robotics, marine systems, or defense-related projects
  • Hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and prototyping skills
