Overview of Role
Our client is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Geologist to join our geoscience team. The successful candidate will have knowledge of subsurface data, workflows, and geological reservoir modelling tools. As a Support Geologist, you will work closely with clients to understand their specific needs and provide tailored demonstrations of the software, technical support, and training on the software to ensure an excellent user experience.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
• Serve as the technical focal point for software support and evaluation for current and
prospective clients across the Nigeria and Africa, both onsite and remotely.
• Support business development teams with presales meetings by delivering demonstrations of tNavigator – RFD’s geological modelling software.
• Proactively identify and scope technical solutions that address client requirement, ensuring
the delivery of appropriate technical support.
• Represent the company at conferences, industry events, internal events, and exhibitions as required.
• Deliver training sessions to clients and internally when needed
• Support and communicate business development opportunities in the energy sector to ensure effective follow-up by the sales team.

Skills and Knowledge
Required:
• Strong knowledge of geological modelling tools (e.g. Petrel, RMS, Leapfrog).
• Excellent client facing and internal communication skill, with great attention to detail.
• Strong ability to prioritise tasks to maintain excellent customer satisfaction.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and effective both independently and in team environments.
• Customer-focused with a service-oriented mindset.

Desirable:
• Familiarity with reservoir simulation tolls (e.g. tNavigator, Eclipse, CMG).
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python

Education and Experience
Required:
• MSc degree in Geology or similar
• Experience as a Geologist or Technical Sales Geologist with software experience

Desirable:
• Understanding of the full end to end geoscience workflow, including seismic interpretation, geological interpretation, static modelling, volumetric calculations, and uncertainty assessment
