Position Overview
The Technical Solutions Engineer plays a pivotal role in supporting our client's commercial and utility-scale partners with expert technical guidance across solar PV and energy storage system (ESS) projects. This includes pre-sales support, solution design, technical documentation, training, and troubleshooting. You will work closely with the sales, product, and service teams to ensure technical excellence and customer satisfaction throughout the project life-cycle.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Sales and Solution Design
• Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical support during customer engagements.
• Evaluate project requirements and propose optimal solutions using PV inverters, hybrid inverters, and BESS.
• Conduct feasibility assessments, energy yield simulations, and system sizing using software tools (e.g., PVsyst, AutoCAD, Helioscope).
• Prepare technical documentation including SLDs (Single Line Diagrams), data sheets, and integration guides.

Technical Support & Commissioning
• Provide hands-on and remote technical support for system installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Support field engineers and clients to resolve on-site technical issues.
• Coordinate with HQ and R&D teams for product updates or complex technical matters.

Training
• Deliver technical training sessions to EPCs, installers, consultants, and other partners.
• Develop training materials and support knowledge sharing internally and externally.

Project and Product Feedback
• Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to provide feedback on product performance and market needs.
• Stay updated on industry trends, competitor products, and compliance standards (e.g., AS/NZS standards, grid codes).

Key Requirements

Essential
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in the solar PV or energy storage industry.
• Strong understanding of power electronics, PV system design, and grid connection standards.
• Proficient in system design tools such as PVsyst, AutoCAD, or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel locally and interstate for customer support or site visits.

Desirable
• Familiarity with hybrid systems, microgrids, or VPP (Virtual Power Plant) solutions.
• Clean Energy Council (CEC) accreditation (desirable but not required).
