A fast‑growing energy company active across the Iberian power and renewables markets is seeking an experienced Trading Manager to lead day‑ahead, intraday, and balancing‑market activities while supporting the optimisation of a growing portfolio of renewable and flexible assets.
About the Role You will manage trading operations across Iberian electricity markets, optimise renewable generation and BESS assets, and contribute to commercial strategy and revenue growth. Working closely with analytics, asset management, and commercial teams, you’ll ensure the business captures market value while maintaining robust risk management and compliance standards.

About the Role You will manage trading operations across Iberian electricity markets, optimise renewable generation and BESS assets, and contribute to commercial strategy and revenue growth. Working closely with analytics, asset management, and commercial teams, you’ll ensure the business captures market value while maintaining robust risk management and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day‑ahead, intraday, and balancing‑market trading for power and renewable assets
- Optimise solar, wind, and BESS portfolios through market‑driven strategies
- Monitor market fundamentals, pricing trends, and regulatory developments
- Collaborate with analytics teams to refine forecasting and optimisation models
- Support PPA pricing, hedging strategies, and commercial decision‑making
- Ensure compliance with internal risk frameworks and market regulations
- Build strong relationships with market operators, counterparties, and trading partners
- Proven experience in power trading, asset optimisation, or energy markets in Spain
- Strong understanding of Iberian market mechanisms (OMIE, REE, balancing services)
- Experience with renewable generation, flexibility markets, or BESS optimisation
- Analytical mindset with strong numerical and decision‑making skills
- Comfortable working in fast‑moving, high‑responsibility environments
- Fluent in Spanish and English
