Underground Electrician – FIFO (QLD)
About the Role
We are currently seeking experienced Underground Electricians to support operations at a Mine in Queensland. You’ll be joining a well-established maintenance team on one of Australia’s leading underground silver-lead-zinc operations.
This is an immediate start, offering full time FIFO work, initially on a 6-month contract with the view to go permanent.
We are also keen to speak with Underground Electricians looking to step up into Leading Hand positions, providing an excellent pathway into leadership within a high-performing team.
All candidates must have underground mining experience, be able to pass a medical and D&A (LABDAS), and hold full Australian working rights with a valid electrical licence.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Installation and maintenance of HV underground cabling and infrastructure
- Fault finding and repair of underground electrical systems and panels
- Maintenance of ventilation and dewatering systems
- Electrical work on underground mobile equipment
- Testing, commissioning, and breakdown response
- Supporting maintenance planning and reporting
- Contributing to safe and efficient site operations
- Current QLD Electrical Licence – essential
- Electrical Trade Qualification – essential
- HV Switching – highly regarded
- Strong underground mining experience (hard rock preferred)
- Exposure to underground mobile fleet and fixed plant
- Valid Manual Driver’s Licence
