We are currently recruiting a Valve Advisor SME for a Major Global Oil & Gas Operator in the Perth CBD with occasional site travel.
The successful candidate will develop and implement fit-for-purpose valve asset management strategies across the clients operating assets, to improve reliability, reduce lifecycle cost, and optimise repair and inventory outcomes.

The successful candidate will develop and implement fit-for-purpose valve asset management strategies across the clients operating assets, to improve reliability, reduce lifecycle cost, and optimise repair and inventory outcomes.
Position Description / Scope of work:
- Provide technical and governance leadership across the valve lifecycle, working with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Supply Chain Management to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective outcomes.
- Provide technical and governance leadership across valve lifecycle management, with responsibility for:
- Asset strategies and standards
- Workflows and execution models Spare parts and stock optimisation
- Offsite repair strategies (OSR)
- Contractor and vendor performance
- Operate within a Quality Management governance framework by setting requirements, assuring contractor execution, and driving continuous improvement rather than performing inspections directly.
- Demonstrated technical expertise in valve systems and lifecycle management
- Proven experience in developing and implementing valve asset strategies, including maintenance, repair, replacement, and reliability optimisation across industrial or LNG/oil and gas environments.
- Strong knowledge of quality management and asset integrity requirements
- Sound understanding of quality management systems, regulatory and industry standards, and assurance processes relevant to valve performance, repair governance, and contractor compliance.
- Proven ability to drive commercial and operational improvement
- Experience identifying and delivering value through inventory optimisation, offsite repair strategies, cost reduction initiatives, and improved asset performance outcomes.
- Highly developed stakeholder engagement and influencing capability
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and influence across multidisciplinary teams, including Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Supply Chain, and external vendors or contractors.
- Mechanical Engineer or Trades Qualification (Instrument will also be considered).
- Working within the Valve industry for a recognised valve vendor for 10 plus years
