Overview
We are seeking an experienced Water Drilling Superintendent to support ongoing infrastructure projects in the Van Horn / Sierra Blanco region. This role will oversee fresh water drilling operations to support construction activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and timely execution.

This is a field-based role requiring strong leadership, coordination of crews and equipment, and hands-on management of drilling operations. Significant overtime should be expected.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise fresh water drilling operations to support construction projects
  • Oversee daily field activities, including drilling execution, crew coordination, and safety compliance
  • Manage and coordinate hydraulic drilling rigs, air rotary, and mud rotary systems
  • Ensure wells are drilled efficiently to meet project water supply requirements
  • Monitor drilling conditions and adjust operations based on soil and formation conditions
  • Coordinate with project managers, construction teams, and subcontractors to maintain schedules
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company procedures
  • Maintain accurate field logs, reports, and operational updates
  • Troubleshoot drilling and equipment issues to minimize downtime
  • Support mobilization and demobilization of equipment and crews
Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Drilling Superintendent, Drilling Supervisor, or similar role
  • Strong experience in fresh water or water well drilling preferred
  • Experience with hydraulic drilling systems
  • Experience with air rotary and/or mud rotary drilling
  • Background in construction, civil, environmental, or water supply projects preferred
  • Strong leadership and crew management skills
  • Ability to work extended hours and overtime in a field environment
Additional Notes

  • Candidates with strictly oil and gas drilling backgrounds may not be a strong fit
  • Preference will be given to candidates with water well, environmental, or civil drilling experience
  • Immediate need with potential for long-term opportunity
