Required Skills:
- Proficient in TIG & MIG welding with 3+ years of hands-on experience
- Experience welding Ni-base or Ni-Cr alloys for at least 1 year
- Ability to perform visual inspections of welds to ensure quality standards
- Familiarity with manufacturing and production processes
- Competent in setting welding parameters, selecting consumables, and preparing for welding trials
- Strong understanding of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) regulations and practices
- Ability to design and fabricate welding fixtures, chill blocks, and purge boxes
- Excellent reporting skills, including using Non-Conformance Reporting Systems (NCR) and documenting production times
- Experience with gas turbine components or similar high-spec welding projects
- Background in maintenance welding within production environments
- Ability to carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on welding equipment
- Previous experience working closely with engineering teams on process improvements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Certified welder in TIG and MIG or equivalent verified experience
- Minimum 3 years welding experience in a production or maintenance setting
- Must complete EHS regulatory training as assigned
- Ability to work physically demanding tasks including stooping, kneeling, crawling, and standing for extended periods
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive hand/wrist motions
- Comfortable working in noisy, hazardous conditions following required PPE protocols (respirators, Tyvek suits, gloves, face shields)
- Willingness to travel on short notice by air or ground
- Strong team player with excellent cooperation skills
