Wells Engineering Competency Assessor
  • Start Date: July 2026
  • Location: Aberdeen, UK
The Wells Engineering Capability Assessment program has been set up at the request of the client Wells SVP, and has been developed to address a gap in the client skills capability and competency management systems. Wells has identified specific engineering skills essential for risk management and requires a method for independent, self-verification of proficiency in these skills. Additionally, there is increased interest in and scrutiny of the clients competency / capability management for non-safety critical roles from regulators, including the UK’s Offshore Petroleum Regulator for Environment and Decommissioning (OPRED). Addressing this gap assures the clients ability to demonstrate a robust capability management system in the event of a regulatory audit.

With over 90 years' combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world's leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil & Gas, Power & Renewables, Chemicals, Construction & Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining and Manufacturing sectors worldwide. With more than 80 offices in 45 countries, we are able to provide our clients with the engineering and technical expertise they need, wherever and whenever it is needed. We offer contractors far more than a traditional recruitment service, supporting with everything from securing visas and work permits, to providing market-leading benefits packages and accommodation, ensuring they are safely and compliantly able to support our clients.
