Summary
The Wireline Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily wireline operations, providing leadership to Operators, and ensuring safe and efficient execution of cased‑hole wireline services both in the field and in the shop. This role includes operational oversight, equipment management, regulatory compliance, and building strong working relationships with customers and field staff.

Summary
The Wireline Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily wireline operations, providing leadership to Operators, and ensuring safe and efficient execution of cased‑hole wireline services both in the field and in the shop. This role includes operational oversight, equipment management, regulatory compliance, and building strong working relationships with customers and field staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to all company and client policies, procedures, and safety expectations.
- Promote and maintain strong safety awareness across all operations.
- Assemble, load, and execute perforating gun services in field environments.
- Ensure full compliance with regulations governing wireline and explosives operations.
- Implement safety practices before, during, and after well service activities.
- Provide on‑site technical guidance, supervision, and mentorship to crew members.
- Train Operators in safe job execution, operational risks, and wellsite procedures.
- Troubleshoot issues related to tools, equipment, and vehicles.
- Complete all operational documentation, logs, and job‑related paperwork.
- Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in clean and serviceable condition.
- Collaborate with customer representatives to meet operational milestones and job objectives.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in pump‑down plug‑and‑perf wireline operations.
- Ability to read and interpret safety manuals, technical instructions, and procedures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and presenting information.
- Proficiency with mathematical concepts such as ratios, percentages, and basic statistics.
- Experience with wireline pressure control equipment (including 10K pressure training).
- Knowledge of NSC/DOT regulations and explosives safety procedures.
- Skilled in winch operation and wireline tool maintenance.
- Basic electronics knowledge.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills in field environments.
- Ability to mentor and work effectively in team settings.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to maintain all required certifications.
- Capable of working independently in demanding field conditions.
- Knowledge of pump‑down operations, cased‑hole wireline operations, and applicable codes of practice.
- Commitment to promoting a strong safety‑driven culture.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- H2S Alive (asset).
- First Aid/CPR (asset).
- Ability to obtain a Blaster License.
- PAL (Possession and Acquisition License) considered an asset.
- Acceptable results from pre‑employment testing and background screening.
- Driver’s abstract meeting company standards.
- Acceptable National Dose History results (if applicable to role).
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Must meet federal requirements for working with explosives (Service Canada approval).
