Accounts Payable Clerk

Our client a leading Oil & Gas Operator are hiring a dedicated Accounts Payable Clerk to play a vital role within our busy finance department.

As a key member of the team, you’ll be responsible for accurately processing a high volume of invoices—over 45,000 annually—using our electronic approval system.

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of accounts payable functions and processes
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build professional relationships
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Comfortable managing vendor communications professionally via phone, email, or in person
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing processes
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
• Capacity to retain and apply information across various invoice types and processes

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with SAP or similar accounting software (training will be provided)
• Prior involvement in supplier statement reconciliations
• Familiarity with procurement procedures and team collaboration

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Previous experience in an accounts payable or finance role preferred
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in finance/accounting are a plus

Other Requirements:

• Ability to occasionally perform scanning and document management tasks
• Flexibility to adapt to evolving team processes and priorities
