NES Fircroft have partnered with a leading integrated oil and gas operator with a long life onshore gas asset in Queensland, supporting major LNG supply operations and delivering projects across the full asset lifecycle. We are seeking an Asset Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team supporting the planning and delivery of onshore gas assets. This role focuses on coordinating technical and non technical inputs to enable safe, efficient and compliant delivery of projects across the asset lifecycle.

Working closely with planning, engineering, construction and external stakeholders, the Asset Engineer helps ensure work scopes are ready for execution and aligned with business priorities. The role operates in a fast paced environment where schedules can change and strong coordination and problem solving skills are essential.

The role will commence on a 20 month inital contract, working Monday - Friday (8.30am - 5pm) in Brisbane CBD.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate approvals and inputs required to release work scopes for execution
• Support planning and delivery of greenfield, brownfield and decommissioning activities
• Work with internal teams and external stakeholders to manage non technical considerations such as land access, environment and permitting
• Identify and manage risks that may impact cost, schedule or execution
• Support engineering and design activities to ensure alignment with asset requirements
• Monitor progress of multiple workstreams and help resolve conflicts or constraints
• Prepare documentation and change requests to support project delivery
• Contribute to safe, compliant and efficient execution of work programs

Skills and Experience

• Degree qualified in Engineering, Geoscience, Environmental Science, Infrastructure Planning or a related discipline
• Experience in asset planning, project engineering or project delivery roles
• Understanding of onshore energy or infrastructure project development
• Strong stakeholder engagement and coordination skills
• Ability to work across multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
