Auxiliary Operator

Job Summary The Auxiliary Operator supports the safe and reliable operation of a combined cycle power plant, with exposure to Mitsubishi and GE turbine equipment. This role works with the Control Room Operator and Maintenance team during normal operations, startups, shutdowns, and outages.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform plant rounds and monitor combined cycle and balance-of-plant systems (HRSG, pumps, valves, cooling water, auxiliaries)
  
  
• Record operating data and report alarms or abnormal conditions
  
  
• Assist with equipment lineups, startups, and shutdowns
  
  
• Support water treatment systems and general plant operations
  
  
• Follow safety procedures, including LOTO and permit requirements
  
  
• Assist maintenance and outage activities as needed
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
  
  
• Combined cycle power plant experience required
  
  
• Experience supporting GE and/or Mitsubishi turbine-generators preferred
  
  
• Familiarity with HRSG, water treatment, and balance-of-plant systems
  
  
• Basic mechanical knowledge and strong safety mindset
  
  
• Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
