Chemical Technician

Seeking a skilled Chemical Technician with hands‑on experience operating and maintaining centrifuges in a production environment. This role is responsible for supporting testing activities, operating separation equipment, documenting results, and ensuring safe and compliant laboratory practices. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, safety‑focused, and experienced working with chemical processes and mechanical equipment.

Seeking a skilled Chemical Technician with hands‑on experience operating and maintaining centrifuges in a production environment. This role is responsible for supporting testing activities, operating separation equipment, documenting results, and ensuring safe and compliant laboratory practices. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, safety‑focused, and experienced working with chemical processes and mechanical equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate, monitor, and maintain centrifuges, including setup, calibration, safe operation, and routine troubleshooting
- Record, analyze, and report test results accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain and clean equipment, ensuring proper functioning and calibration
- Follow all safety protocols, including PPE requirements, chemical handling procedures, and waste disposal guidelines
- Assist with data entry, documentation, and inventory management of chemicals and supplies
- Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other technicians to support ongoing projects and process improvements
Experience/Skills:
- Hands‑on experience operating centrifuges in a laboratory or industrial setting
- Basic understanding of chemical handling, safety practices, and lab procedures
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and technical instructions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation
- Mechanical aptitude for operating and troubleshooting laboratory equipment
- Computer literacy for data entry and reporting (e.g., Excel, LIMS, Fieldglass, or similar systems)
- Safety‑focused mindset
- Strong problem‑solving skills
- Team‑oriented with good communication skills
- Reliable, self‑motivated, and able to work independently
- Organized and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment
Technical Skills:
- MS Office Suite (Outlook and Excel)
Education/ Qualifications:
- Chemical Technology Diploma (preferred)
- Background in Oil and Gas (preferred)
