Civil Structural Design Engineer – 6 month contract

Join the team to create complex, durable steel and concrete structures that ensure safe and efficient mining operations to a new mine build taking place in Queensland. You’ll guide a skilled team in producing precise 2D and 3D CAD models, construction drawings, and design solutions that meet stringent codes and standards.
To be successful, you will have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent) and 5 to 12 years of relevant industrial design experience. Your skillset will include:

To be successful, you will have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent) and 5 to 12 years of relevant industrial design experience. Your skillset will include:
- Advanced 3D modeling expertise with Tekla and/or Smart3D
- Solid experience designing industrial steel, concrete, foundations, and equipment support structures
- Proven leadership in managing design teams and collaborating with multiple engineering disciplines
- Strong skills in constructability reviews, design compliance, and on-site problem solving
Additional expertise that would be beneficial:
- Familiarity with material requisitions and bid evaluations
- Experience developing standard design and drafting processes
- Practical knowledge from site visits
- Willingness to travel for site coordination
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
