Construction Field Superintendent
Location: Gonzales, LA OR Pasadena, TX
Travel: Must be able to travel to Corunna St. Clair, Canada (TAR site)
Pay Rate: $54- $62 per hour
Duration: 12 months

Position Summary
The Construction Field Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications. This role provides direct supervision of construction crews, coordinates subcontractors, monitors project progress, and upholds the highest standards of quality and safety. The Superintendent ensures work is completed on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with established performance expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily on-site construction activities and enforce strict compliance with all safety regulations and protocols.
  • Manage construction crews and coordinate the efforts of subcontractors to maximize productivity and workflow.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential delays or issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for contractors and maintain strong communication across all project stakeholders.
  • Address and resolve construction-related challenges, field issues, and escalated customer concerns.
  • Ensure all work meets quality standards, specifications, and engineering requirements.
  • Manage Contractor Toolbox Meetings and reinforce safety culture and expectations.
  • Approve contractor timesheets and verify accuracy of labor reporting.
  • Understand and manage safety aspects associated with Turnaround (TAR) work.
  • Oversee critical lifts, including verifying all required Safe Work Permit documentation.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of process welding and quality control requirements.
  • Utilize P6 schedule data to prioritize work, align activities, and drive project progression.
  • Read and interpret P&IDs, construction drawings, and project specifications.
  • Support preparation of bid documents and contractor packages.
  • Assist with preparation, review, and vetting of job packages for execution readiness.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
  • Proven experience in construction supervision or project management within industrial or energy sectors.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and field execution.
  • Experience managing construction within Turnaround (TAR) environments strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of process welding requirements and QC inspection processes.
  • Proficiency with P6 scheduling to manage daily priorities and progress tracking.
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and technical documentation.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team coordination skills.
  • Strong problem‑solving abilities and the capacity to handle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to obtain a TWIC card and valid Passport for required travel to Canada.
