About the Role The Contract Conformance Specialist IV is responsible for managing day‑to‑day sourcing, contract administration, and compliance activities for large, complex capital projects (up to $500M annually). This role serves as a key liaison between contractors, project teams, legal, procurement, and other internal stakeholders to ensure all contractual obligations and documentation are met throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all stages of contract administration for assigned projects.
  • Ensure timely flow of contract documentation, communication, and compliance.
  • Identify, communicate, and help resolve contract‑related issues.
  • Prepare contract exhibits including scope, specifications, pricing, and special instructions.
  • Assist in drafting technical contract language.
  • Lead contract negotiations during bidding and formation phases.
  • Maintain contractor correspondence, documentation logs, and change order logs.
  • Review contractor submissions and invoices for compliance.
  • Prepare agendas, attend meetings, and distribute minutes.
  • Coordinate resolution of claims and contractual issues with legal and project teams.
  • Oversee contract close‑out and ensure compliance with retention procedures.
  • Support internal and external compliance audits.
  • Provide regular status updates to management.
Qualifications Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, legal, technical, or business fields with relevant experience
    OR
  • Associate degree with 10+ years experience in contract administration or conformance (preferably in gas pipeline construction).
Skills & Requirements:

  • Experience with large, complex engineering and construction contracts ($100M+).
  • Strong understanding of contracting processes within energy or construction industries.
  • Ability to draft and interpret contract documents.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams, Oracle, ProjectWise, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
Work Conditions
  • Role is primarily based onsite
  • Travel required (10–25%), mainly within the U.S. and Canada.
