Contracts Manager

We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our Melbourne-based team. This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of supplier agreements and new procurement requests, ensuring the efficient and effective purchase of goods and services across the business.

You will play a key role in delivering business value through strategic sourcing, contract management, and supplier performance oversight—while ensuring compliance and driving continuous improvement across procurement processes.

This is a senior-level position suited to someone with strong sourcing and commercial experience, capable of working autonomously while also providing guidance to junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of procurement agreements, including new requests and contract lifecycle activities
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve optimal commercial outcomes
• Ensure end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (PtP) processes are executed efficiently and in compliance with internal policies and systems
• Maintain contracts, including scope updates, pricing adjustments, and amendments
• Monitor supplier performance and ensure contract compliance and utilisation
• Identify opportunities to drive cost savings, efficiency, and overall business value
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
• Leverage procurement tools and systems to enhance transactional efficiency
• Contribute to category strategy by providing market insights and supporting commercial decision-making
• Recommend and implement process improvements aligned with business risk

About You You are a highly skilled procurement professional with strong commercial acumen and the ability to influence outcomes across stakeholders.

Key skills and experience include:

• Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or category management
• Strong negotiation and contract management capabilities
• Solid understanding of Procure-to-Pay (PtP) processes and systems
• Analytical mindset with the ability to identify value and cost-saving opportunities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior team members (desirable)
• Strong focus on compliance, controls, and risk mitigation
