Job Description Position Overview
The Infrastructure Cost Controller will work under the direction of the Cost Manager and be responsible for overseeing specific components of project cost management, change control, and reporting. This role includes participation in cost team meetings and other assignments as needed.

The Infrastructure Cost Controller will work under the direction of the Cost Manager and be responsible for overseeing specific components of project cost management, change control, and reporting. This role includes participation in cost team meetings and other assignments as needed.
Responsibilities
- Manage monthly Value of Work Done (VOWD) and perform scope-specific forecasting.
- Track costs and identify variances on a monthly basis.
- Coordinate with project teams and contractor cost controllers to ensure timely and accurate integration of cost data into project budgets and forecasts.
- Work closely with planning/scheduling resources to align project budgets with schedules and execution timelines.
- Assist in developing and standardizing cost reporting across all frequencies.
- Manage service confirmations and invoice reconciliations through GEP and SAP processes; audit and verify invoices for accuracy, approvals, and cost coding.
- Support invoice reviewers and approvers with necessary details.
- Communicate effectively with business partners, supply chain professionals, and suppliers regarding POs, price books, invoice processing, and master data.
- Develop working knowledge of agreements and contracts.
- Coordinate preparation and approval of purchase orders and requisitions to authorize work.
- Ensure contractor cost reporting complies with contractual requirements.
- Perform invoice reconciliation audits and monitor resubmissions; provide guidance to contractors as needed.
- Monitor unapproved invoice due dates daily and follow up to ensure timely payments.
- Participate in team meetings and assist with special projects as requested.
- Oversee change management processes for contractors and steward owner’s change management process, including registering and evaluating change orders for cost impact.
- Communicate reporting and invoicing instructions to vendors.
- Coordinate with supply chain for proper project close-out.
- Resolve inquiries related to GR/IR, POs, ERS, invoicing plans, and payment status.
- 9/80 schedule (9-hour days).
- Based in Anchorage, with up to 25% travel.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience on major capital projects in oil & gas, refinery, or petrochemical environments with increasing responsibility.
- SAP experience preferred; PIMS experience preferred.
- Strong customer service, communication, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a team-oriented environment.
- High attention to detail.
- BS in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Knowledge of project management software (SAP, PIMS, etc.).
- Ability to develop reports and presentations for management.
- 3–5 years of experience in accounts payable, contracts, finance, or related fields.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
