Country Manager - Turkey

Location - Ankara, Turkey

Our client is seeking an experienced Country Manager (Turkey) to lead, grow, and shape our operations in the region. This role carries full responsibility for the business unit’s performance, strategic direction, operational excellence, and people leadership — ensuring alignment with global standards while complying with local regulations.

Job Purpose
To take full responsibility for the management, direction, and operational control of the Turkey branch in accordance with the procedures, policies, and strategic framework.

Key Responsibilities Business Leadership & Financial Management
  • Lead all duties of the Country Manager in line with corporate expectations and Turkish law.
  • Drive financial performance including P&L, fixed assets, inventory, and receivables.
  • Establish revenue and profit forecasts and deliver (or exceed) approved targets.
  • Develop short‑ and long‑term business plans aligned with corporate and regional objectives.
  • Manage and optimize resources—both personnel and equipment—for maximum cost-efficiency.
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance internal processes and business performance.
  • Ensure facilities (offices, workshops, warehouses) meet operational and safety requirements.
  • Oversee the implementation and adherence of all QHSE systems across the business.
  • Maintain a safe working environment that protects people and the environment.
People Leadership
  • Build and maintain an effective organizational structure and strong talent pipeline.
  • Provide effective leadership, communication, and motivation to all staff members.
  • Conduct annual performance appraisals for direct reports and oversee the appraisal cycle across the unit.
  • Set, track, and review safety, financial, and business objectives for team members.
  • Implement impactful training and development plans.
Sales, Marketing & Customer Relationships
  • Direct the marketing and sales strategy to maximize market penetration and business potential.
  • Build and sustain strong customer relationships to grow market share.
  • Maintain productive relationships with regulatory authorities and industry bodies.
Other Responsibilities
  • Fulfill any additional duties assigned by the Senior Area Director, ensuring safe, fair, and efficient execution.
Qualifications & Experience (Recommended)
  • 10+ years of leadership experience in Oil & Gas or related service industries.
  • Proven track record in P&L ownership and strategic operations management.
  • Strong understanding of Turkey’s regulatory environment and market landscape.
