Job Purpose
The Diving Lead will serve as the primary interface with the Installation Contractor and Diving Sub‑Contractor for all matters related to saturation diving, air diving, and ROV safety & operations.
This role ensures that all diving activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in line with contractual, regulatory, and industry standards. Key Responsibilities

Job Purpose
The Diving Lead will serve as the primary interface with the Installation Contractor and Diving Sub‑Contractor for all matters related to saturation diving, air diving, and ROV safety & operations.
This role ensures that all diving activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in line with contractual, regulatory, and industry standards. Key Responsibilities
Operational Oversight
- Monitor contractor performance, including reviewing certifications and ensuring adherence to approved procedures.
- Observe and direct diving/ROV operations in alignment with company policy.
- Support project planning, procedure reviews, and technical diving/ROV matters.
- Conduct verification audits of diving plants, ROV systems, and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with international diving legislation, IOGP, IMCA, and industry best practices.
- Oversee diving SIMOPS, PTW, and communication protocols.
- Act as the company's focal point for diving & ROV activities on installation vessels/DSVs.
- Monitor real-time operations including diver comms, videos, bell deployments, environmental conditions, and vessel movement.
- Lead emergency response efforts related to DCIs and treatment protocols.
- Ensure correct reporting and medical intervention processes are followed.
- Saturation Diver Qualification
- Saturation or Air Diving Supervisor Certification
- Valid IMCA CPD (if ADAS or DCBC qualified)
- Diving Worksite Representative training (IOGP-compliant)
- DESIGN Auditing & Assurance qualification (SAT/Air/ROV systems)
- DP familiarization training (IMCA M117)
- Formal HSE qualification (NEBOSH/IOSH)
- 8+ years offshore commercial diving/supervision experience (SAT & Air)
- Experience with IMCA D 023/024/053/063 audits
- Strong understanding of IMCA, IOGP, ADCI standards
- 5+ years diving operations experience from DP vessels
- Solid seamanship and marine/ROV operations knowledge
- 5+ years subsea installation/repair/decommissioning experience
- 2+ years offshore construction management experience
- Deep understanding of international diving regulations and marine operations
- Strong marine/offshore operational expertise
- Knowledge of IMO regulations, codes, and standards
- Broad understanding of offshore construction vessels, heavy lifts, pipe/cable lay, accommodation barges, and DSV operations
