DOCUMENT CONTROLLER
The Document Controller is responsible for managing, controlling, and maintaining project and organisational documents to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with internal procedures and external standards. This role ensures that the correct documents are available to the right people at the right time, supporting efficient operations and regulatory compliance.
Typically requires an undergraduate degree and broad experience or equivalent. Working Environment Standard Office Environment. May be required to travel and/or have overnight trips. Hours worked may exceed regular schedule. Physical Effort Little chance of injury. Duties may involve sitting, standing, keyboarding with frequent flexible breaks.

The Document Controller is responsible for managing, controlling, and maintaining project and organisational documents to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with internal procedures and external standards. This role ensures that the correct documents are available to the right people at the right time, supporting efficient operations and regulatory compliance.
- Establish, implement, and maintain document control procedures and systems.
- Receive, register, classify, distribute, and archive documents in both electronic and hard-copy formats.
- Ensure documents are reviewed, approved, issued, and updated in accordance with company procedures.
- Maintain document version control, revision history, and approval records.
- Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and external stakeholders to ensure timely document submission and retrieval.
- Monitor document status, track deadlines, and generate document control reports as required.
- Ensure confidentiality, integrity, and security of sensitive documents and records.
- Support audits and compliance reviews by providing accurate and up-to-date documentation.
- Continuously improve document management processes to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Experience in document control, records management, or a similar role (industry experience may be required, e.g., construction, engineering, oil & gas, or corporate environments).
- Experience working with document management systems (DMS/EDMS).
- Knowledge of document control standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and document control software.
- Ability to manage multiple documents, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
