EHS Professional – Job Description Job Type: Full-Time, Contract
Pay rate: 80-85/hr
Contract Duration: April 2026 – December 2026
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Location: Raleigh, NC (On‑site)
Travel: Up to 20%

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Professional to support the development, implementation, and monitoring of EHS programs and compliance activities. This role is ideal for a self‑managed, detail‑oriented individual who can contribute to ongoing projects, ensure regulatory compliance, and support continuous improvement efforts across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, propose, and implement EHS processes, programs, and methods.
  • Lead and support the rollout of EHS initiatives; track milestones and progress.
  • Monitor adherence to EHS standards and prepare regular internal reports.
  • Evaluate changes in EHS laws and regulations; recommend updates to internal standards.
  • Support internal and external EHS audits.
  • Prepare required EHS documentation and reports for regulatory authorities and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain communication with external regulatory bodies as needed.
  • Provide EHS training to employees and management.
  • Stay current with all local, state, and federal EHS regulations and industry standards.
  • Contribute technically to projects, process improvements, and development of EHS tools or methods.
  • Collaborate with operational teams, offering functional guidance when needed.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 2+ years of professional EHS experience, or Master’s degree entry‑level.
  • Knowledge:
    • Strong understanding of EHS regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.
    • Working knowledge of relevant technical and business methods.
    • Ability to interpret regulatory changes and apply them to organizational processes.
  • Skills:
    • Analytical, reporting, and problem‑solving abilities.
    • Strong communication and training skills.
    • Ability to work independently in a target‑driven environment.
    • Team‑oriented mindset with awareness of business value and impact.
