The Electrical Supervisor will coordinate offshore Brownfield, Shutdown, and Hook‑up activities for the Electrical discipline, representing the COMPANY during offshore execution. The role ensures compliance with safety, quality, asset integrity, and project objectives, while driving efficient execution and commissioning in coordination with Operations, OESS, and EPC Contractors. Project: COMP3 – Compression Development Program Job Purpose
The Electrical Supervisor will coordinate offshore Brownfield, Shutdown, and Hook‑up activities for the Electrical discipline, representing the COMPANY during offshore execution. The role ensures compliance with safety, quality, asset integrity, and project objectives, while driving efficient execution and commissioning in coordination with Operations, OESS, and EPC Contractors. Job Context & Key Challenges
This position is part of the COMP3 Project, a major Compression Development Program involving:
- Installation of 5 new riser platforms
- Delivery of 1 wellhead platform
- Installation of stalk-on risers, subsea cables, and fiber optic (FO) lines
- Tie‑ins and modifications to 17 existing offshore platforms
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations during offshore execution
- Coordinate and supervise offshore brownfield and hook‑up execution, including commissioning, to meet project priorities (Safety, Quality, Asset Integrity, and Schedule)
- Supervise Contractor and Subcontractor activities during:
- Brownfield works
- Mechanical Completion
- Pre‑commissioning
- Commissioning
- Verify constructability and technical compliance of engineering, brownfield, and hook‑up deliverables
- Liaise with Contractors and Subcontractors to monitor progress, reporting, and issue resolution for MC, pre‑commissioning, and commissioning activities
- Supervise Permit to Work (PTW) coordination meetings with OESS and Contractors, ensuring execution strictly follows approved Method Statements and JSA
- Report any electrical or execution deviations from QatarEnergy LNG rules and standards to line management
- Promote a strong safety culture during offshore execution and onboard marine units (JUB and work boats), ensuring closure of safety actions under assigned responsibility
- Participate in REX and Lessons Learned sessions to support continuous improvement
- Ensure availability and effective deployment of qualified resources to support offshore execution in line with project planning
- High National Diploma (HND) or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 8 years of experience in large‑scale Oil & Gas projects involving:
- Offshore construction and installation
- Brownfield execution and shutdowns
- Hook‑up and commissioning activities
- Proven experience working with:
- Oil & Gas Operators
- EPC Contractors and Subcontractors
- Offshore execution and construction companies
- Strong knowledge of:
- Electrical systems for offshore facilities
- International design standards, codes, and specifications
- Offshore execution methods and associated risks
