Project Overview We are supporting a large-scale offshore energy transition project in the Netherlands focused on repurposing existing offshore infrastructure for carbon capture and storage (CCS). The project involves preparing an offshore installation for CO₂ injection and long-term containment in offshore reservoirs.
The scope includes complex brownfield modifications, engineering updates following value engineering, and detailed engineering activities during the EPCI phase. The role is embedded in an international, multidisciplinary project environment and is critical to ensuring technical integrity, safety, and regulatory compliance throughout the engineering lifecycle.
Role & Responsibilities As Senior Offshore Engineering Lead, you will be accountable for the coordination and management of engineering activities within your assigned scope. You will act as the technical focal point between contractors, specialists, and the project management team.

Role & Responsibilities As Senior Offshore Engineering Lead, you will be accountable for the coordination and management of engineering activities within your assigned scope. You will act as the technical focal point between contractors, specialists, and the project management team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading engineering activities during FEED updates and detailed engineering in the EPCI phase
- Reviewing and validating contractor technical deliverables to ensure compliance with project standards, international codes, HSE requirements, schedule, and cost objectives
- Safeguarding technical integrity across all disciplines and identifying design risks or constructability issues
- Coordinating technical interfaces between engineering disciplines, contractors, and stakeholders
- Proactively identifying issues and proposing technical solutions or optimizations
- Participating in technical and safety reviews (e.g. HAZID, HAZOP, audits) and ensuring follow-up of actions
- Supporting tender preparation with technical input and documentation
- Providing clear and timely reporting on engineering progress, risks, and key performance indicators
- Degree in an engineering discipline
- Minimum 15 years of professional experience, including 10 years on large offshore oil & gas projects
- Proven experience managing engineering activities across FEED and EPCI phases
- Strong background in brownfield offshore modifications
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- High level of HSE awareness and commitment to safe working practices
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
