Job Title: Environmental/Civil Engineering Intern
Location: Sabine Pass, TX
Duration: 3 months (Summer Surge Project)
Pay Rate: $40/hour
Housing: Hotel accommodations provided
Transportation: Shuttle buses provided to site or carpooling available
Job Overview
Cilent is seeking engineering students for a short‑term summer surge assignment supporting field construction activities. This role is ideal for students entering their 3rd or 4th year of a 4‑year engineering degree program, particularly those studying Environmental Engineering or Civil Engineering.
Candidates will support onsite construction teams by performing field verification tasks, quality checks, and progress tracking to ensure work has been installed correctly and meets project standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform field walk‑downs and assist with punch list development and closeout
Verify installation of construction work against drawings, specs, and checklists
Conduct progress verifications and support daily field reporting
Assist with quality checks to confirm work completeness and accuracy
Coordinate with construction and engineering teams as needed
Support documentation of findings, corrections, and completed work
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a 4‑year engineering degree program
Entering junior or senior year (3rd or 4th year)
Preferred majors:
Environmental Engineering
Civil Engineering
Strong attention to detail and willingness to work in a field construction environment
Ability to follow procedures, checklists, and safety requirements
Effective communication skills and a professional attitude
Additional Details
This is a temporary summer assignment lasting approximately 3 months
Candidates must be able to work onsite at Sabine Pass, TX
Hotel accommodations are covered by the project
Transportation to the site provided via company shuttle or carpool
