NES Fircroft are partnering with a global resources client who are looking for an Environmental Field Technician to join the team. This is initially a 6-12 month contract with a possibility of extension
FIFO 8:6 roster
The Role:
Reporting to the Field Studies Supervisor and Project Superintendent you will be required to support numerous on ground studies for the Nature and Science Team.
Studies include Dust Deposition deployment and monthly changeout, Noise and Vibration monitor install and retrieval, Visual Impact Study support on ground for external consultants.
You would also get the opportunity to provide support to Inland Waters studies

The Role:

You would also get the opportunity to provide support to Inland Waters studies
Key Accountabilities:
Field support for Environment Studies fieldwork, undertaken by specialist environmental consultants, including:
- Flora and Vegetation:
- Soils and Landforms
- Subterranean Fauna
- Social Surrounds (noise, dust and visual impact)
- Inland waters (aquatic ecology, and ecohydrology)
Inland Waters:
- Collection of ground water and surface water samples as directed
Social Surroundings:
- Monthly dust bottle collection at exploration sites.
- AQMesh dust monitor installation and regular check of equipment in the field.
- Maps and GIS data from monitoring locations, with a summary email of work completed at the end of each trip.
The Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification within Environmental Science
- Previous mine site experience
- Knowledge and understanding of the Pilbara Environment
- Experience in use of GIS software
