Estimator / Cost Controller – Digitalisation and Cost Management
 
Contract period: 02.02.2026 - 31.12.2027
Location: Stavanger

Main tasks:

• Support preparation of cost estimates, cost data structures, bench marking inputs, basis of estimate and reporting material.
• Contribute to cost analysis, trending, quantity development, or cost control activities depending on background.
• Review cost-related inputs delivered by contractors, internal business units, or alliance partners.
• Support multidisciplinary project teams and contribute to robust, data-driven cost deliverables.
• Drive digitalisation initiatives related to cost work-flows, models, and data handling.
• Develop and improve Excel based models, including advanced formulas, structured data, and work-flow optimisation.
• Participate in close-out activities and support strengthening of Company’s internal cost and experience databases.
• Ensure adherence to Company’s processes, procedures, and digital strategies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Finance or another relevant discipline.
• Experience from cost estimation or cost control in oil and gas projects.
• Strong Excel skills, including advanced formulas, structured modelling, and data handling.
• Experience with digital tools, automation, work-flow optimisation, or data modelling is highly beneficial.
• Experience with cost analysis is desirable.
• Strong communication skills in English. Norwegian is an advantage.
• Demonstrated interest in digitalisation, artificial intelligence, and modern ways of working.
• Strong and effective communication skills. Willing to receive/give constructive feedback.
• Ability to work independently, manage processes and be proactive to get involved.
• Team player with a “One Team” behaviour, proactively seeking advice and sharing knowledge.  
• Can work in a deadline driven environment and can handle many activities at once.
• Able to “speak data” and utilise digital technology and translate it into more efficient work processes and higher productivity.
