Job Title- Finance Manager
Location: Bangalore, India

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Finance team, fostering engagement, professional growth, and innovation
  • Ensure consistent performance standards, capability development, and continuous improvement across all resourcing models.  
  • Interviewing Indian-based employees and coordination with Perth and Houston teams.
  • Foster a “One Team” culture, collaborating across disciplines and geographies.
  • Manage and monitor managed service performance against contractual obligations, service level agreements (SLAs), and key performance indicators (KPIs). This includes leading regular engagements with managed services leadership to drive corrective actions and continuous improvements where required.
  • Provide regular and timely updates on performance and issues to Bengaluru leadership and global Finance leaders.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of all Finance activities, decisions, and changes across both staff and managed services activities.
  • Manage risk, compliance, and assurance processes, including Sarbanes Oxley and other regulatory frameworks.
  • Lead change management initiatives, including system/process upgrades and organizational transitions.
  • Drive digital transformation and process improvement initiatives, leveraging analytics and technology to enhance Finance performance.
  • Ensure robust governance, compliance, and assurance of Finance practices in alignment with global standards and local regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders (Digital, HR, C&P etc.) to deliver operational requirements. 
 
Skills and Experience:
Technical Skills / Experience: 
  • Post graduate professional qualification (CA/CPA equivalent)
  • 15+ years’ global tax and accounting experience, preferably in the oil & gas or energy industry. 
  • Proven understanding of Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) and compliance requirements.
  • Proven leadership in managing and developing high-performing teams across diverse portfolios and regions for a multi-national company.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders to deliver positive outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change, drive digital transformation, and deliver process improvements.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliverables with strict timelines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of International/India Accounting Standards (IFRS and IndAS).
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP S4HANA. 

Core skillsets required:  
  • Experience in managing both staff and outsourced integrated teams to deliver Finance and shared services activity outcomes
  • Demonstrated commitment to and alignment with the Woodside Values
  • Experience in process ownership, controls, and compliance (e.g., SOX)
  • Adaptability, cultural competency, and a proactive approach to navigating local regulatory and operational challenges
