Paris/Italy (Engineering Phase) then it will move Maputo,Mozambqiue (Operations Phase)
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 12‑Month Renewable Contract


Role Overview The Flow Assurance Leader is responsible for all Flow Assurance (FA) studies and operational support required to ensure safe, efficient and reliable delivery of hydrocarbons from wells to the LNG facility. This includes simulation work, troubleshooting, operational readiness, digital tool development, and technical assurance across subsea and gathering systems. 

Key Responsibilities Flow Assurance Operations & Studies
  • Lead all flow assurance simulation studies (optimisation, forecasting, modifications).
  • Develop the Flow Assurance Dossier and Flow Assurance Manual.
  • Define start‑up sequences ensuring minimal flaring (8” feed lines, 22” trunkline transitions, turndown strategies).
  • Recommend technical solutions to optimise existing installations and operating modes.
  • Monitor system performance and adjust operating procedures based on field feedback.
  • Develop FA guidelines for commissioning through to full 2‑train LNG operations (13mtpa).
  • Support Asset team with troubleshooting and mitigation of production shortfalls.
  • Ensure chemical/deposit‑related flow risks are addressed with Chemical Treatment teams.
  • Act as main interface with Subsurface to ensure production forecasts remain within operational envelopes.
Modifications & New Developments
  • Provide FA input to new developments, HQ studies, and modification projects.
  • Ensure lessons learned and operational feedback are captured and integrated.
Modelling & Digital Tools
  • Maintain and update the flow assurance model, ensuring PVT and test data accuracy.
  • Lead the development of the SMARTS (Surveillance Monitoring Asset in Real Time System) tool, including subsea virtual metering and real‑time production optimisation.
  • Support development of subsea digital operating tools (OTS, OCWT).
  • Contribute to HQ digital initiatives for subsea KPI monitoring, chemical usage, envelopes and forecasting.
Interfaces, Reporting & Training
  • Coordinate with HQ FA specialists and ensure technical alignment.
  • Develop FA training materials and deliver training for Operators and Production staff.
  • Ensure full FA readiness for subsea start‑up, including calculations, simulations, procedures, and reporting.

Requirements Qualifications
  • Master’s degree or higher in Applied Science, Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • Proficiency with FA software tools such as Pro/II, OLGA, PVTSim.
  • 15+ years’ Oil & Gas industry experience.
  • Minimum 10 years directly in Flow Assurance.
  • LNG Flow Assurance experience highly advantageous.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong understanding of subsea flow assurance, thermodynamics, and production systems.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Ability to lead technical studies and operational troubleshooting.
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills.
  • Experience working in multicultural, international environments.
