This is a workshop based role 5 days a week, we will be moving to a new facility within the next 2 years so you will also support with that processMust Haves: 
Experience working in a workshop / warehouse within the oil and gas industry 
Familiar with offshore operations, ideally having been offshore in the past 
ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 is mandatory

Job Summary

Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Specialist is expected to demonstrate capacity and accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives in the designated area of responsibility. This role is expected to facilitate the implementation of HSE tools, procedures and initiatives in compliance with legal, business and customers’ requirements.
Essential Functions, Roles, and Responsibilities: Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.
  • Lead Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) programs, initiatives and operationalization of HSE procedures and policies into the business. Develop site specific HSE procedure as required.
  • Oversee specific aspects of health, safety and environmental programs to maintain full compliance with applicable laws and regulations as well as internal and external business requirements.
  • Drive HSE Culture evolution through regular interpersonal mentorship, communications and interactions
  • Deep dive key HSE performance indicators (both lagging and leading), provide routine updates to leadrship team and intiaite continuous improvement programs.
  • Perform self-assessments, audits and regular inspections to assure conformance with HSE management system, regulatory and customers’ requirements
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for high risk operations, new projects’ start-ups, HSE tender sumissions, all related HSE due diligence and management of change.
  • Facilitate incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective, preventive actions and HSE learning events ( learnings from normal work and learnings from incidents).
  • Manage compliance tracking programs, HSE digital tools and record keeping systems.
  • Ensure effective HSE training programs are in place and properly executed including Onboarding and Short Service programs.
  • Participate and present (as needed) in customers’ and industry HSE events and forums.
  • Special projects or assignments as directed by management.
Education, Training, Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college (i.e. engineering science, environmental science, industrial hygiene, occupational safety, and health sciences)
  • Minimum of 4 years of HSE experience (preferred in Oil & Gas industry)
  • Strong understanding of UK and European regulatory requirements.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
  • NEBOSH certification, diploma or equivalent.
  • ISO45001 / 14001 lead auditor.
  • Basic Offshore Safety Induction Emergency Training. - or at least some experience with offshore operations

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Travel Expectations: 
Multi Branch oversight visits across Europe may be required. Customer meetings and field site visits are required.

This position operates in an industrial/field environment. The role requires working in and around oilfield equipment, heavy machinery, and potentially hazardous materials.

Below requirements while performing the duties of this job:

Physical Requirements:
  • Able to lift up to 25 kg (followng safe manual handling and mechical lifitng requirements).
  • Stand and walk for extended periods (following fatigue management process).
  • Climb stairs and ladders (following safe work practices).
  • Bend, stoop, kneel, and reach (with self and situational awarness, knowing own limitations and avoiding overexertion ).
  • Work in confined spaces when required (with associated permit to work and control measures)
  • Operate heavy equipment and power tools (if trained, competent and certified to do so).
  • Perform repetitive movements (following ergonomics risk mitigation measures).

Environmental Conditions:
  • Exposure to extreme weather conditions ( with extreme weather conditions’ controls)
  • Exposure to loud noise levels (with applicable hearing protection)
  • Working at hieght or in confined spaces (with associated permit to work and control measures)
  • Exposure to dust, fumes, and chemicals (with respiratory protection).
  • Work around moving mechanical parts (complying with life saving rules).

Safety Requirements:
  • Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Follow all HSE protocols and procedures
  • Participate in regular HSE trainings
  • Complete required HSE certifications
  • Comply with all environmental regulations
