Job Title: Human Resource Representative
Contract Duration: 12 months
Location: Sugar Land TX 77478 Onsite
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hrs/week)
Rate: $35–$40/hr
Job Summary
The HR Representative provides frontline support to employees and managers on a wide range of HR topics, including hiring, relocation, benefits, performance management, compensation, and career development. This role serves as the primary point of contact for HR inquiries and assists the HR Manager with the design, implementation, and administration of HR policies, programs, and processes. The HR Representative also plays a key role in employee engagement, training coordination, and compliance.

Job Summary

This role serves as the primary point of contact for HR inquiries and assists the HR Manager with the design, implementation, and administration of HR policies, programs, and processes. The HR Representative also plays a key role in employee engagement, training coordination, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Employee & Manager Support
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee and manager inquiries related to HR policies, benefits, compensation, and performance processes.
- Conduct meetings to communicate information regarding unemployment policies, benefits, and compensation.
- Address employee relations concerns, supporting motivation, engagement, and job satisfaction.
- Support managers in interpreting and applying HR policies, programs, and procedures.
- Assist in the design and implementation of HR policies, tools, and processes (e.g., performance appraisals, career planning, succession planning, and rewards programs).
- Raise exceptions or approvals when required under relevant policies.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and HR-led programs.
- Maintain compliance with Data Privacy, Protection Guidelines, and applicable legislation.
- Coordinate internal and external recruitment activities.
- Screen and review job applications; interview candidates as needed.
- Support career development programs, including Schlumberger Eureka Technical Careers and other technical/field engineer frameworks.
- Coordinate training sessions, workshops, and development activities.
- Assist in organizing internal team-building and community engagement events.
- Contribute to onboarding, coaching, and developing new HR team members.
- Collaborate effectively with other departments on cross-functional initiatives.
- Dedicate face time with employees to maintain open communication and feedback loops.
- Participate in union-related meetings as appropriate.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on HR performance and employee motivation.
- Maintain strong awareness of HR and business issues impacting the workforce.
- Workday experience (preferred)
- Microsoft Office Suite (required)
- Power BI experience (a plus)
- Bachelor’s Degree
