Purpose of the Role
Lead Cyber Defense Center by overseeing cyber monitoring, threat detection, and incident response operations while ensuring strong integration with Security & Emergency Management (S&EM). Drive team performance, operational excellence, and unified enterprise incident coordination.

Internal: IT, Cyber Security, Senior Leadership, S&EM
External: Vendors (Microsoft, AWS), threat intelligence providers, third‑party IR teams, industry forums

Purpose of the Role
Lead Cyber Defense Center by overseeing cyber monitoring, threat detection, and incident response operations while ensuring strong integration with Security & Emergency Management (S&EM). Drive team performance, operational excellence, and unified enterprise incident coordination.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead coordination of cyber incidents impacting business or operations.
- Integrate CDC operations with S&EM’s monitoring and escalation processes.
- Support Cyber Defense and S&EM leadership during crisis response and enterprise‑wide exercises.
- Enhance the organization’s threat picture across cyber, physical, and geopolitical domains.
- 5+ years cyber security experience and 5+ years in a CDC/SOC leadership role.
- Strong technical expertise in SIEM, endpoint security, threat intelligence, and incident response.
- Proven ability to lead under pressure with strong communication & stakeholder management.
- Experience collaborating with emergency management, crisis response, and vendors (Microsoft, AWS).
- Strong situational awareness and ability to manage multi-domain incidents.
