Job Title: Logistics Clerk I

Location: Old Ocean, TX
Duration: 12 months
Schedule: Rotating 12‑hour shifts (day and night); may require overnight and on‑call availability
Pay Rate: $25- $30 per hour

Job Summary
An industrial operations organization is seeking a Logistics Clerk I to support daily refinery logistics, transportation coordination, and inventory activities. This position plays a critical role in the movement of railcars and trucks, accurate documentation, inventory tracking, and coordination with internal teams and external carriers.
The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, time‑sensitive refinery or industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate daily inbound and outbound railcar and truck movements 
• Monitor shipment orders, inventory levels, and schedule changes 
• Create and update railcar switch lists, tank car lists, and shipping schedules 
• Process bills of lading and shipping documentation in SAP and carrier systems 
• Verify shipment details, hazmat information, and documentation accuracy 
• Calculate and record shipment volumes manually using gauges and outage tables 
• Track inventory, production, and sulfur levels; prepare daily reports 
• Prepare and distribute COAs and shipping documents to customers 
• Communicate with internal teams, railroads, and trucking providers 
• Provide on‑call support for logistics and transportation issues as required

Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Experience in logistics, transportation, or industrial operations preferred
• Basic math and data entry skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general computer systems
• Familiarity with SAP or similar enterprise systems preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work rotating 12‑hour shifts, including nights and weekends
• Comfortable working in a refinery or industrial environment with required PPE
