NES Fircroft is recruiting a Logistics Coordinator for our client. They are a leader in floating technologies for the oil and gas industry, and the office is in Rotterdam, Netherlands. 12-month contract with possibility of extension. Due to start June 2026. 

Purpose
As Logistics Coordinator, your primary responsibility is to manage the transportation of goods necessary for our projects and operations. Your role plays a critical part in ensuring timely deliveries, cost-effective transportation, and seamless coordination between different stakeholders involved in the supply chain.

Responsibilities

  • Supply Chain Coordination: You plan, execute, and oversee the logistics activities.
  • Transportation Management: You arrange and optimize transportation methods to meet delivery deadlines and minimize transportation costs.
  • Vendor Management: You collaborate with suppliers and vendors to secure timely delivery of materials and equipment, negotiate contracts, and resolve any logistical issues.
  • Compliance and Safety: You ensure all logistics operations adhere to safety regulations, industry standards, and legal requirements.
  • Communication and Reporting: You maintain effective communication channels with various teams, providing regular updates on logistics activities and addressing any concerns promptly. You maintain the forecast and actual delivery dates in the ERP system.
  • Problem-Solving: You identify and resolve logistical challenges in a proactive and efficient manner.


Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field, plus relevant experience in logistics or transportation.
  • Proven work experience handling ‘international’ freight in O&G/EPC sector.
  • Previous experience in logistics coordination within the oil and gas industry or a similar sector.
  • Familiarity with transportation modes, regulations, and shipping procedures relevant to the industry.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
  • Adaptability and problem-solving skills to address unforeseen challenges and changes in project and operations requirements.
