Title: Logistics Specialist
Location: Houston, TX 77073 (Onsite)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM (40 hours/week)
Contract Length: 12 months (Renewable)
Pay Rate: $24–$29/hr

Position Overview
The Logistics Specialist will support import/export operations with a strong focus on TIB (Temporary Import Bond) repair processes, documentation accuracy, compliance, and coordination with internal cross functional teams. This role requires an operations driven logistics professional—not finance focused—with the ability to read shipping documents, reports, and bills.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support execution of all process steps for TIB repair imports accurately and within required timelines.
  • Assist the NAM Customs COE team with required bond obligations, including gathering data and preparing documentation.
  • Coordinate with the NAM Customs COE team to ensure correct classification and documentation.
  • Set up and manage a Return Material Authorization (RMA) process for items returned for repair, including Mexico and Canada.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers to forecast items expected to arrive prior to their arrival.
  • Ensure “Imported for Repair and Reexport” notation is filed correctly on all entries.
  • Track TIB timelines to ensure timely exportation or destruction to avoid penalties.
  • Maintain complete, audit ready records of all TIB transactions.
  • Provide guidance to stakeholders (Project Managers, Operations, etc.) on TIB repair requirements and procedures.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to company policy, legal, and safety standards.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of TIB repair entries.
  • Maintain complete and organized TIB transaction records.
  • Prepare monthly status reports on TIB activity, timelines, and compliance metrics.
  • Provide documented recommendations for process improvements.
Required Experience & Skills
  • Minimum 5 years experience in import/export compliance, customs processes, or logistics operations.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. Customs TIB repair regulations.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and validate shipping documents, bills of lading, and logistics reports.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; strong communication skills for cross functional collaboration.
  • Proficient in Excel for data tracking, reporting, and deadline management.
  • Experience with ERP systems, ideally Oracle.
  • High School Diploma or Associate degree preferred
  • Oil & Gas or Energy industry experience preferred (but not required).
