Job Description – Maintenance Assistant

Location: Nisku, AB

Pay Rate: $25/hour

Open Positions: 2

Contract Length: 6 months

Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm (Day Shift) Position: Maintenance Assistant (Manufacturing Labor Role)
Job Summary
The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for the manufacturing and testing of Electric Submersible Pump (ESP) components, including pumps, intakes, seals, and electric motors. This role operates within a production environment and requires strict adherence to safety standards and manufacturing procedures to ensure equipment reliability and high‑quality output. Key Responsibilities
  • Manufacture and test equipment in accordance with established procedures
  • Always follow detailed manufacturing and safety processes
  • Operate an overhead crane and perform manual lifting (up to 50 lbs)
  • Enter monthly risk and safety reports through digital systems
  • Complete required online safety and compliance training
  • Perform daily preventative maintenance and equipment/tool inspections
  • Maintain clean, organized, and compliant work areas
  • Support production goals, including occasional overtime as needed
Qualifications
  • Experience in manufacturing, mechanical, or industrial labor roles (preferred)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work with overhead cranes
  • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
  • Ability to follow technical processes and documentation
  • Basic computer skills for reporting and training modules
