NES Fircroft are currently seeking a Maintenance Execution Team Leader for a major operational oilfield in Iraq.

This is a maintenance leadership role, with a number of direct reports, including:

  • Maintenance Scheduler
  • Maintenance Specialists
  • Area Construction Lead
  • Site Maintenance Advisors
  • Maintenance Coordinators

Role intent:
  • Functional leadership for maintenance execution in operating area
  • Day to day supervision of Maintenance Execution Team and oversight of work execution.
  • Deliver safe, effective and efficient maintenance execution
  • Training and coaching of the local workforce as needed to comply with international standards and improve delivery

Key Accountabilities:
  • Promotes a culture of open safety reporting and continuous improvement.
  • Accountable for the safe execution of maintenance activities in support of standards, values, and behaviours.
  • Accountable for effective and efficient area maintenance, covering multi-discipline Preventative (PM) & Corrective (CM) maintenance activity.
  • Owns and maintains a zero tolerance for overdue safety critical maintenance (SCE and Anomaly management) to reduce risk to production /personnel / plant and environment.
  • Budget Holder and Contract account manager (CAM) for area maintenance execution budget and appropriate contracts
  • Accountable for TAR maintenance input and train outages.
  • Responsible for effectiveness of condition monitoring program and completing condition monitoring anomalies on time
  • Sets annual team and personal objectives for team members
  • Performance manage team
  • Own schedule delivery and activity readiness for all maintenance executed activity
  • Monitors the agreed KPIs and takes appropriate actions to close any deviations from target.
  • Recommend activity set beyond the 12 week window to OSM
  • Participates in line Self Verification and conducts regular leadership site visits
  • Inputs to the choke model to ensure Vulnerabilities are understood and assessed to reduce risk and optimise production.
  • Responsible for driving plant and equipment availability and supporting leading reliability improvement initiatives and initiating RCFA investigations, ensuring timely closure of any allocated station actions.
  • Ensure change management (MOC) issues are identified and Engineering Queries (EQ’s) are raised in a timely manner to resolve and meet business objectives.
  • Champion Continuous improvements (CI) by standardizing best practice activities across site and maintenance teams,
    • optimize Maintenance Strategy.
    • improvements to maintenance build.
    • optimize Materials Look-up and Staging.
    • Develop competence map for Maintenance co-ordinator (MC) and drive delivery through maintenance advisors.
    Desired experience:
    • Above 15 Years experience in O&G industry (Preferable with IOC’s direct or contract)
    • Technical degree or HNC certificate in engineering.
    • Experience in previous Maintenance lead role (MTL / Maint Superintendent capacity)
    • Practical exposure to production facilities
    • Leadership Skills – leading and managing multi-discipline and multi-cultural workforce.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
    • Driven to deliver continuous improvement.
    • Strong bias for being proactive and getting results
    • Strong understanding of Computerised maintenance management systems (CMSS – Maximo)
